Four-Course Wine Pairing Dinner on Thursday, April 24, 2014
Miami Beach, Fla. (April 17, 2014) – Paying homage to the inception of Fontainebleau Miami Beach in 1954, Cellar 1954 Wine & Dinner Series is a monthly event that pairs the world’s most prestigious wines and winemakers with the award-winning cuisine of Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s signature dining destinations.
On Thursday, April 24, 2014, Michael Mina 74 – Fontainebleau’s new signature restaurant by critically-acclaimed chef Michael Mina – will host a decadent four-course wine pairing dinner with wines hand-selected and presented by Manuel Louzada, Estate Director of Bodega Numanthia – the renowned Spanish winery located in the heart of the country’s Toro region. Priced at $155 per person, excluding tax and service charge, the evening will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a reception featuring KRUG Champagne and commence with the dinner located in the restaurant’s private dining room, featuring a delectable hand-tailored menu crafted by chef de cuisine Thomas Griese
Born in Portugal, Louzada is a fourth generation wine grower. He discovered his passion for wine when he used to explore the winery with his grandfather, roaming the cellars, listening to the sounds of the winery, smelling the intoxicating aromas of the grapes and wines in barrels at his family’s winery – Caves Messias. After nearly 10 years working with sparkling and still wines in Argentina, Louzada now helms Bogeda Numanthia as Estate Director, working primarily with the 2008 harvest in the heart of the Toro region in Spain. He is in charge of coordinating the global transversal environmental policy and is responsible for the wine quality standards of the winery.
