Paying homage to the inception of Fontainebleau Miami Beach in 1954, Cellar 1954 Wine & Dinner Series is a monthly event that pairs the world’s most prestigious wines and winemakers with the award-winning cuisine of Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s signature dining destinations.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, Scarpetta – Fontainebleau’s critically-acclaimed Italian restaurant by James Beard award recipient Scott Conant – will host a decadent five-course wine pairing dinner prepared by chef de cuisine Nina Compton, with wines hand-selected and presented by Kenneth Killion, U.S. Brand Development Manager for Château Margaux – the prestigious winery located in the celebrated wine region of Bordeaux. Priced at $435 per person, excluding tax and service charge, the evening will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the restaurant’s dining room featuring a delectable hand-tailored menu crafted by Chef Compton.
As the newly appointed U.S. Brand Development Manager for Château Margaux, Killion is responsible for strengthening the winery’s current relationships with collectors and professionals as well as developing a new consumer base for Château Margaux. Through special events, training, and educational seminars, Killion works closely with key consumers, retailers, distributors, importers and sommeliers to build brand awareness and recruit new consumers to the Château Margaux family of wines, including the release of a third wine, Margaux du Château Margaux. Throughout his career, Killion has travelled extensively, visiting Chile, Argentina, Germany, Spain and France among several other wine producing countries and regions. However, his true love and passion has always been the wines of France, especially those from the Bordeaux region.
