Celebrate Thanksgiving oceanside with a Mexican feast at Lona Cocina & Tequileria on Fort Lauderdale beach. Available Thursday, November 25 through Sunday, November 28, Lona’s specialty a la carte Thanksgiving menu with a Mexican twist, created by Chef Jorge Gutierrez, features Tamal de Calabaza - pumpkin, Masa de Maiz and banana leaf ($11); Machaca de Pavo Taco - pulled turkey, tomatillo, green apple sauce and cilantro ($15); Enchilada de Guajolote - braised turkey, cranberry mole, peanuts and crema fresca ($21); and the chef’s special Pavo Asado - roasted turkey, plantain puree and au jus ($25). Lona’s full dinner menu will also be available. The feast will be complemented by seasonal fall cocktails including Toasty Tostada - Nixta Licor, 400 Conejos Mezcal, Cointreau, mole bitters and orange; El Burro - Volcan Reposado tequila, lime juice, orange juice, Basil Monin, orange bitters, ginger beer and candied ginger; and Passion Picante - El Mayor Blanco, 400 Conejos Mezcal, Cointreau, lime juice, picante syrup and sliced peppers.
