Just in time for Hannukah, which runs Thursday, December 10, - Friday, December 18, co-owners Michael and Karen Stanley, will offer a variety of specials and a festive holiday menu inspired by the family’s trip to Israel last Hannukah.
“We were enamored with the way Israelis celebrate Hannukah. It’s a fun-filled eight-day party for people of all ages and we wanted to bring back some of their traditions (and food) to South Florida,” says Karen Stanley. “We are excited for everyone to try all of our Hannukah offerings.”
Serving Miami-Dade, Broward & Palm Beach counties, MK Takeaways will offer 8 Days of Sufganiyot – a selection of jelly and cream filled donuts which symbolize the oil lamps that burned the eight nights of Hannukah. Priced at $35 per person each package includes eight creative donuts, one for each night: Raspberry Lemon Pie; Dulce & Dulcey; Vanilla Bean Crumble; Blueberry Coconut; Matcha & White Chocolate; Appley Ever After; Chocolate & Brownie Bonanza; and Violet Cheesecake. Individual donuts are available for $5 each.
Those seeking savory selections will enjoy MK Takeaways Potato Pancake Palooza/Latke Lunacy – a variety of creative twists on the traditional potato pancake. Priced at $10 per person, guests will receive four of the same type of latke and can choose from Savta’s Simple Latkes with Apple Chutney; Latkes with Sour Cream & Smoked Salmon; Sweet Potato Latkes with Crème Fraiche; Sweet Onion Latkes with Chive Sour Cream; Za’atar Potato & Carrot Latkes; and Zucchini Latkes with Maple Cranberry Sauce.
Customers can round out the holiday feast with dishes such as French Toast Casserole with caramelized apples & raisins; Cheese Blintzes with late summer strawberry compote; Shakshuka and an array of salads, boards (meat or cheese) and other offerings. For a true Hannukah experience, enjoy MK Takeaways’ Israeli Salatim ($34) – a selection of ten salads/small plates which feeds four to six people. Items featured include Mediterranean Salad; Mixed Marinated Olives; Greek Salad; Hummus; Roasted Green Beans with toasted shallots; Spicy Carrots & Jalapeño Salad; Cucumber & Tomato Israeli Salad; Artichoke & Feta Salad; Tabbouleh; and Baba Ghanoush.

Guests can place orders beginning Tuesday, December 1, 2020 and offerings will run through the end of Hannukah (Friday, December 18th).
