Kick off the fiesta at Miami Beach’s award-winning al fresco bar, The Rum Line, as it welcomes popular taqueria, Taquiza, for an exclusive Cinco de Mayo “tacover” on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5PM to 9PM.
Spice up Cinco de Mayo with Mexican street-fare by Taquiza’s Steve Santana featuring two for $5 tacos including a prawn al pastor taco with pineapple-cilantro salsa and charred cherry pepper hot sauce, pairing perfectly with Santana’s freshly house-made blue corn chips served with Chile de árbol salsa and guacamole for dipping.
Lure Fishbar’s Executive Chef John Iatrellis will be roasting a whole pig and whole fish for the occasion, served by the plate. For $8 each, enjoy lechón asado served with charred corn salad, tamal colado and mole negro; or grilled snapper tamales with Mexican rice and Veracruz salsa.
Partygoers can enjoy themed libations on The Rum Line’s alluring deck featuring frozen margaritas and Avion based cocktails priced at $10 each. Toast to the festivities with a Frozen El Diablo with Avion Silver, fresh lemon juice, crème de cassis and ginger or the Mexican State of Mind made with Avion Silver, fresh watermelon and lime juices, agave, jalapeno and cilantro.
The Rum Line is tucked away on the terrace of the St. Moritz Tower at the iconic Loews Miami Beach Hotel – adjacent to its award-winning hotspot Lure Fishbar at 1601 Collins Avenue. For private event inquiries or table reservations for large groups, please call (305) 695-0110.
