Celebrate Christmas Eve and Day with a decadent oceanside feast at Lona Cocina & Tequileria on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Available Friday, December 24 through Sunday, December 26, Lona’s specialty a la carte Christmas menu with a Mexican twist, created by Chef Jorge Gutierrez, features Tamal de Guayaba - Oaxaca cheese, Masa de Guava and banana leaf ($11); Taco de Lechon - roasted pork, pickled carrots, pickled onions and roasted tomatillo sauce ($15); Enchilada de Lechon - roasted pork, Pipian sauce, pumpkin seeds, queso cotija and cilantro ($21); and Especial de Pavo - slow cooked turkey, loaded potato puree with a 74-hour demi glaze ($25). Lona’s full dinner menu will also be available. In addition to the Christmas menu, Lona is also featuring a stellar lineup of festive cocktails, priced at $15 each, including Dreaming of a White Horchata - Abasolo whiskey, Nixta licor, Rumchata and Horchata mix; Ghost of Christmas Past - Ghost tequila, lime juice and agave; and Red-Nosed Reserve - Don Q Gran Reserva, Apple Playa liquor, apple juice, lemon, agave and cinnamon.
