Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits in Fort Lauderdale

Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits has just introduced two new reasons to visit this hip yet sophisticated oceanfront Fort Lauderdale gem: weekend brunch and Happy Hour. Overseen, respectively, by Chef de Cuisine Gavin Pera and Beverage Director James Camp, the new offerings will feature the artisanal approach, bold flavors and attention to detail that have made the restaurant, bar and marketplace Fort Lauderdale’s newest hotspot since it premiered last fall.

Splice the Mainbrace! An order given aboard naval vessels to issue the crew an alcoholic drink is the perfect euphemism for Happy Hour at Burlock Coast. Starting Monday, March 21, 2016, imbibers can enjoy their choice of house Chardonnay or Cabernet; Burlock Coast’s exclusive brew, the BC Bootlager; Granddaddy’s Liquor Cabinet (well spirits); and signature cocktails – Bill’s Spirit made with Conch Republic rum, grapefruit-infused Carpano Antica, Martinique cane sugar and Angostura bitters and Donna the Privateer made with Flor de Caña 4 Year, 100 Proof spiced rum, Don’s mix angostura and grapefruit bitters – all available for $6 each during Burlock Coast’s Splice the Mainbrace Happy Hour; available Monday through Friday from 4PM – 6PM. Also for $6, bar bites include Rock Shrimp Fry with passionfruit aioli and lime; Spicy Avocado Tomatillo Dip and house chips; Half Dozen East Coast Oysters; and Cheese of the Day with house-made jam and almonds.

Whether recovering from the night before, hitting the beach for the day or wanting a laid-back daytime retreat, brunch at Burlock Coast is the place to be. Available Saturdays and Sundays from 12PM – 5PM, brunch-goers can indulge in a la carte items such as The Hog and The Egg – Lake Meadow poached eggs over pork belly dressed with hollandaise sauce; Challah French Toast Sandwich with BC jam, candied pecans and maple rum butter; BC Burger with rum bacon jam, Mt. Tam cheese, tomato and arugula with your choice of duck or hen egg; and the Nicoise Salad with frisée, haricots verts, quail eggs and confit potato. Must-try raw bar items include $1 Brunch Oysters with citrus champagne mignonette; Tuna Tartare with cucumbers, serranos and tostones; Chilled Florida Shrimp with Burlock Coast’s house-made cocktail sauce; and Crudo with watercress, citrus and radish pomegranate vinaigrette. For $20, guests can enjoy Bottomless Drinks, including mimosas, bloody marys, rum punch and the restaurants proprietary house-brew – BC Bootlager.
