To celebrate the recent introduction of the restaurant’s nightly rum paired chef tasting menus, on Saturday, October 22, 2016 Burlock Coast will be hosting a one-night only dinner with Chai Rum. Known for its private rum room, home to over 150 varieties of the spirit, Burlock Coast is truly a rum paradise and the perfect setting for a multisensory dining experience.
During the decadent evening, diners will enjoy a four-course menu prepared by chef de cuisine Gavin Pera, complimented by Chai Rum which originated in Trinidad. Known as the “Rum of the Oceans” Chai Rum is the perfect blend of tea leaves from the East Indies and rum from the West Indies. Perfected over four generations, Chai Rum is a sophisticated sipping product that is also the base of wonderful cocktails. For this evening, the dining experience will be enhanced with cocktails that derive from influences of the air, sea and land and include ingredients such as sherry, cinnamon, coconut, smoke and spices.
Each of the four courses will be paired with a specialty libation made with Chai Rum. Priced at $150 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity, the evening will begin at 7PM. The menu, with pairings, follows:
