Chef Cesar Zapata and Aniece Meinhold, the ever-playful and extremely talented team behind The Federal, Food, Drinks & Provisions, has planned a fun, interactive, contest-driven Burger Bonanza in celebration of National Burger Month, this May. The modern American gastropub will feature a new burger each week in May, beginning May 1. At the end of the month, Instagram followers will choose their favorite for the burger that will grace The Fed’s summer menu. Burger Bonanza Schedule
*All varieties are 10oz Black Angus patties on buttered brioche
Week 1, May 1-8: PHATburger – S.T.Y.G. bacon, avocado, fried egg, pickled serrano, and chipotle crema
Week 2, May 9-16: The Cheeze – pepper jack, aged cheddar, fontina, caramelized onion marmalade and butter pickles
Week 3, May 17-25: The Spicy Texan – BBQ'd braised bacon, guac, rajas and pickled serrano peppers
Week 4, May 26-31: The Bawler – seared foie gras, truffled beef jus, tobacco onions and triple crème brie
Diners will be awarded a complimentary draft beer when they post a photo of their burger on Instagram, tag The Federal and let their server know. Those who dine on a weekly basis and Instagram their burger fill will be entered in a competition for a free brunch at the Federal in the month of June.
Located at 5132 Biscayne Boulevard in the MiMo district, The Federal, Food, Drink & Provisions is open for Supper Tuesday–Thursday from 6:00pm – 10:00pm, Friday–Saturday from 6:00pm – 11:00pm and Sunday from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Their $15 Bottomless Happy Hour takes place Tuesday–Friday from 5:00pm-7:00pm. The Boozy Weekend Brunch is Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30am – 3:30pm.
