I was invited to the an event by Miami Luxury Magazine to pretty much lounge around, and while sitting on their beautiful and lush outdoor partio we got to sample a superb brunch that consisted on..., well, let's start with my favorite parts of a brunch; bottomless mimosa or belinnis and a bottomless blody mary bar. This was the perfect start for a Sunday brunch as you cannot only get me to go to South Beach if mimosas are to be served, otherwise I usually passed on having brunch.
There were very tasty and freshly baked assorted pastries; croissants, muffins, danishes and homemade pop tarts. We also got to sample perfectly crafted scrambled eggs and crispy potatoes. Then it came the smoked bacon, turkey bacon & sausages links.
I am not a huge fan of smoked salmon in the morning although I know that for most people, this is their choice as if you think about it, if you like salmon when it comes smoked is even better. I can't stand the fishy smell of salmon, something I can never get over it. But the smoked salmon at eden restaurant came with pickled red onions, capers (that's a given), black bread and lemon dill dressing. I have not tried it but my friend mister LR did and he smiled so that is a good sign.
Next came the homemade granola & vanilla yogurt with fresh berries. The berries felt they were harvested that morning.
As the food above was not enough, we had also their field green salad with red beets, orange citrus, goat cheese, toasted almonds with sherry vinaigrette. Assorted meats were on display should you feel you needed a little extra something. Buy the time I got this item I have no more space but the sliced ham and prosciutto looked amazing. I am not much of a meat eater or at least I tried to keep it in the low ratio consumption.
No brunch item can miss a thick, spongy pancakes and at eden they had my favorite ones; fresh blueberry with maple syrup.
Eden is such a great place to have a cocktail after work (if you work in the area), their Zen-like outside patio is perfect for a time-out-relax time. I like this place and I like that they chef was always looking over every table making sure everyone was enjoying the brunch. I will be back here.
