Join Bodega Taquiera y Tequila for a week long Cinco de Mayo celebration that is not to be missed! Starting on Tuesday, May 3 take the hot seat in the ultimate taco eating contest where participants will battle for a chance to win two tickets to Chicago and have the ultimate VIP experience at Lollapalooza. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Bodega starting at 3:00 p.m. with food and drink specials, photo booth, live mariachi band and music by DJ Spiff and much more!
Taco Eating Contest
When: Tuesday, May 3
Time: Doors open at 6:00 p.m., taco eating contest beings at 7:00 p.m.
Contest Rules:
· Admission is $50.00 and proceeds are being donated to a non-profit foundation
· Contestants must sign up by April 24 on site at Bodega
· To pre-qualify contestants must visit Bodega on the following dates - April 14 and 24 and finish ten tacos in ten minutes
· The competition will be judged by a panel of food media and social influencers
· The grand prize winner will take home two tickets to Chicago including flight, hotel accommodations at the Rafaello, VIP tickets to Lollapalooza and Table Service at Drumbar
· Second place winner will take home a cash prize of $500 and third place winner will take home a $250 cash prize
Cinco de Mayo
When: Thursday, May 5Time: Back lounge opens at 3:00 p.m.· Photo booth with Cinco de Mayo photo props including sombreros, mustaches and floral head pieces
· Music by DJ Spiff and a live mariachi band
· Drink and food specials from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Drink specials include the Paloma, Michelada and the Mexican Shandi. Including Maestro Dobel Tequila shots for $5
· Snow cone machine and churro stand outside
