Locals and tourists alike can experience the flavors of the Western Cape region of South Africa at Big Easy Winebar & Grill’s Easy Hour every weekday from 4PM-7PM. The restaurant, located in Miami’s new Brickell City Centre, is a project in partnership with golf icon turned winemaker Ernie Els who is affectionately nicknamed “The Big Easy” for his manner, stature and gentle disposition.
The new Easy Hour follows that same laid-back feel with draft beers for $5 and half-off wines by the glass (regularly priced at $10-$18). Flights of both white and red South African Wines are $12 and include two-ounce tastings of select bottles.
Diners can also enjoy customizing their Easy Hour bites with the Too Easy Plank ($10), a selection of two items from the appetizer menu including the Fried Green Tomatoes; Oyster Gazpacho Shots; Boerie Bites; Pork Belly “Lollipops”; or Mini Cauliflower Samosas.
Big Easy Winebar & Grill is located at 701 South Miami Avenue, Suite 339 in Miami’s Brickell City Centre. Lunch is served daily from 11:30AM to 4PM; “Easy Hour” is Monday through Friday from 4PM to 7PM; Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5PM to 11PM; and Friday and Saturday from 5PM to 12AM; Reservations suggested.
