Art Basel Inspires Creative Cocktails, Dishes And Special Menus At Miami’s Hottest Eateries

Wynwood Kitchen & Bar

Grab a quick bite in between galleries and street art at Wynwood Kitchen & Bar, where cutting edge art meets innovative cuisine. Chef Miguel Aguilar’s global-Latino inspired small plates are perfect for mixing and matching, while sipping on one of the specialty artist cocktails like the Shepard Fairey - Pisco Porton, Aperol, St. Germain, Riesling and blueberries or the Kenny Scharf – Plymouth gin, grapefruit juice, Cointreau, lime and fresh basil. Meat Market

South Beach’s contemporary sizzling steakhouse, Meat Market, featuring the acclaimed “Beverage Babes”, is offering specialty Art Basel cocktails, to be perfectly paired with ceviches, tiraditos and shellfish from the crudo bar. The Basel Me features muddled yellow bell pepper, basil, Plymouth gin, green chartreuse and frag citrus; Agave P&B is a refreshing combination of pear, basil, Don Julio Blanco, fresh lemon and agave; and The Pepino is a concoction of cucumber, egg white, vodka, lime and torn basil. Joey’s Italian Café

After visiting the Wynwood Walls and new pop-up gallery, hop over to Joey’s Italian Café, for one of chef Ivo Mazzon’s signature pizzas, pastas and salads, such as the bruschetta caprese – mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and oregano on pizza bread or the famed margherita pizza with fresh torn basil. Egg & Dart

Just in time for Art Basel, Miami Design District’s chic Greek eatery, Egg & Dart, is now offering lunch service, Monday – Friday, 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. In addition to its traditional Greek cuisine that has earned rave reviews since its opening, Egg & Dart’s lunch menu will feature a variety of salads ($9-$13) such as the traditional horiatiki Greek salad, and sandwiches ($9-$11) including the favorite Luca Nico – orange flavored Greek sausage with mixed greens and sweet onion chili marmalade. Quattro Gastronomia Italiana

The eagerly anticipated opening of Andrew Carmellini’s The Dutch at the W South Beach Hotel & Residences, comes just in time for Art Basel. Featuring roots-inspired cuisine, an oyster room and the city meets the beach atmosphere, The Dutch promises to be a local hangout and destination for artists, enthusiasts and locals during Basel. City Hall – The Restaurant

City Hall – The Restaurant, Biscayne Boulevard’s down-home, brasserie-style dining destination owned by Steve Hass, is giving guests another reason to celebrate during Art Basel, with the launch of Power Lunch; a special Pre & Après Performance Menu, and an exciting new Happy Hour. The Power Lunch will offer a three-course, pre-fixe menu, served Monday – Friday, 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., at an affordable price of $22 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. To tie-in with the stellar performances and events to be held at neighborhood venues during Art Basel, City Hall has recently introduced a Pre & Après Performance Menu, a three-course menu priced at $35 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. The performance-oriented menu will be available before and after every show, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. until closing. In addition, the restaurant has just rolled out a not-to-be-missed Happy Hour, offered every Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. until midnight. Happy Hour will consist of specially priced imported beers, select fine wines by the glass, and hand-crafted cocktails and martinis.
