National Liqueur Day falls on Monday, October 16. To celebrate, Arkitekt is hosting a dinner with variations on the classic margarita. The dinner, in partnership with 400 year-old Dutch distiller Lucas Bols, is open to the public with reservations available now.

“There is no better cocktail to toast for National Liqueur Day then the Margarita,” said Gilles Bensabeur, Senior Brand Manager for Bols Liqueurs. “It’s the number one cocktail in the U.S. and without a backbone of orange liqueur, which creates that magical balance and harmony between tequila and fresh lime juice, your Friday or Monday margarita would be…a shot of tequila. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s a very different party.”

Ingredients:
· 1 ½ parts tequila reposado
· 1 part BOLS Liqueur Elderflower
· 1part fresh lime juice
· ¼ part simple syrup
Preparation:
1. Shake and serve over ice or up

VOC Margarita
Ingredients:
· 1 ½ parts tequila reposado
· 1 part BOLS Liqueur Orange Curacao
· ¾ part fresh lime juice
· ¼ part simple syrup

2. Garnish with lime wheel
Peach Margarita
Ingredients:
· 1 ½ parts tequila blanco
· 1 part BOLS Liqueur Peach Schnapps
· ½ part BOLS Liqueur Triple Sec
· ¾ part fresh lime juice
· ½ part simple syrup
Preparation:
1. Shake and serve over ice or up
2. Garnish with lime wheel
