Downtown Brickell became a little sweeter since Freddo, Argentina’s artisanal gelato, opened its doors to a second South Florida location at 1100 South Miami Avenue on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
“Since opening on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach late last year we’ve been on the lookout for a central Miami location. Brickell seemed like a perfect place for us,” says Freddo’s CEO Sergio Gratton. “There is a bustling business crowd here and we’re planning to cater to them with the introduction of breakfast and lunch items in addition to our beloved premium gelato.”
Freddo’s new 1,000 square foot store, located at the base of the newly constructed 1100 Millecento building, imports more Argentinean tradition with the introduction of breakfast and lunch. Breakfast offerings include coffee, pastries and breads. Guest can also take a lunch break and pick up fresh salads, wraps and quiches from the grab-n-go vitrine.
Of course, Freddo Brickell debuted with over 30 of their iconic gelato flavors, including the classic Dulce de Leche, velvety Chocolate Mousse, Italian Zabaione and Mixed Berries. Gelato treats of Freddinos ($8), TriFreddos ($8.50), Smoothies ($7.50) and Sundaes ($7) made their way to Brickell as well. Guests can also indulge in desserts ($6-$8), including the fan-favorite Panini Gelato and Lava Cake.
Freddo opened their flagship location at 610 Lincoln Road in winter 2014. A third location is slated to open in Doral come early 2016.

Since 1969, Freddo has served as the leader in “Helado” (premium artisanal gelato from Argentina) with more than 180 stores in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia and the United Kingdom. Freddo’s products are created from fresh high-quality raw materials delivered daily to its main factory in Buenos Aires. Each day, one of Freddo’s original employees, aptly named the ‘maestro heladero’, develops and tests each flavor and product to ensure the highest quality and consistency with each batch. From there, the products are packaged and shipped from Buenos Aires to Miami’s shores.
