In 1994, Allen Susser was the first Miami chef to be declared a winner of a James Beard Award when he brought home the prestigious Best Chef: South award. 2008 came with a nomination for Outstanding Chef. Recently, Allen Susser has closed down his own restaurant after 25 years of service in hopes of working as a consultant, restaurant developer, and teacher. Susser is an individual who enjoys giving back to the community through fundraising efforts.
