Acme Bakery

Refreshing to say the lease. A place where they care, they truly do. I love when people take pride on what they do and they are oriented to make their guests happy. I repspect that, I do the same with my guests. It is all about making people happy, food should always be celebrated and they are doing just that at ACME Bakery.

I woke up Saturday morning to a glorious day. I called Mirka and told her how beautiful the days is and she said to me "now you can see beauty Grace." She is so right, now I can see beauty.

I walked down to ACME Bakery, it is just one block from my apartment and entered a completely different world. A world of home made breads, a place where I feel even more happy - that's what food does to me. I went up to the register and asked for a sandwich, something with egg, their breakfast menu didn't have exactly what I wanted so the girl who was in the register said "we'll do it for you." Now that was nice.

I ended up choosing the toast with egg. As I was by myself, I ordered it to go. Details matter and they packed it in a brown box and a brown bag with their logo stamped. Those are the kind of details that make the food taste even better. When I went home, I sat on the computer to work and after 20 minutes I grabbed the toast. It was cold. I was told by someone at the bakery to warm it up but lazy as I am, I did not. The toast was perfectly balanced with the egg in the middle and a bit of greens on the side. It was so delicious, the bread was soft and crunchy all at the same time. Whomever is doing this bread knows what love means.
