New Happy Hour Fuels Non-profits’ Power
Widely considered one of the region’s foremost best restaurants and a premier watering hole, Beaker & Gray is sweetening their Happy Hour promotion. Co-owners Brian Nasajon and Ben Potts are upping the ante with Instant Karma; each month, the hip eatery will join forces with a local non-profit organization and donate a percentage of their Happy Hour proceeds to benefit the cause.
The restaurant’s Instant Karma promotion will occur the fourth week of every month. From that Monday through Thursday, a percentage of Happy Hour sales will benefit a different local non-profit/charity organization. Beaker & Gray’s charity partner for June is Best Buddies Florida – whose mission is to provide many strong programs in Florida that enrich the lives of youth and adults with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Best Buddies Florida also offers a supported employment program, known as Best Buddies Jobs, in four markets across Florida, Broward, Central Florida, Miami and Palm Beach. To date, Best Buddies is represented in 212 elementary, middle, and high schools and on college campuses across Florida and has matched 65 adults with IDD in one-to-one friendships in the Citizens programs in Central and South Florida. More than 2,600 friendships are happening across the state of Florida. The organization’s impactful friendship programs are sponsored by local, state and federal government funds as well as private and corporate contributions.
The June edition of the Instant Karma fundraiser will run from Monday, June 26 through Thursday, June 29. From 4PM to 7PM, Happy Hour goers can enjoy bites such as Grilled Cheese – smoked ham, Swiss cheese and pickles; Crudité – root vegetables served with onion dip; Cheesy Fries – Huancaína and queso fresco; savory Mochi – dill, coconut, togarashi; and a variety of cocktails, beers and wines to wash it all down for $5 all summer long. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, Noon to 4PM; dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 6PM to 11PM, and Friday and Saturday from 6PM to Midnight.
