Event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach
MIAMI – September 4, 2012 – One of South Florida’s most popular annual food and wine charity events, the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction, will return for its 15th year on Thursday, October 25, 2012, featuring signature chefs from dozens of Miami’s most popular restaurants. The event, presented by Goya Foods, begins at 6:30 p.m., and is taking place at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach.
Chef Chair Timon Balloo of SUGARCANE raw bar grill, represents this year’s extravaganza which will showcase some of Miami’s top chefs, including Host Chef Paula DaSilva of 1500° at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach, as well as Tim Andriola of Timō Restaurant; Conor Hanlon of The Dutch at the W South Beach; Miguel Aguilar of Wynwood Kitchen and Bar; Fernando Desa of Goya Foods; Todd Erickson of Haven; Julie Frans of Essencia at The Palms; Cindy Hutson of Ortanique on the Mile; Aaron Taylor of STK Miami at The Perry South Beach Hotel; E. Michael Reidt of Area 31 Restaurant & Bar; Patricio Sandoval of Mercadito Midtown Miami; Josh Becker of Gotham Steak at Fontainebleau Miami Beach; Sean Brasel of Meat Market; Costas Spiliadis of Estiatorio Milos; Fabrizio Carro and Nicola Carro of Quattro; Kris Wessel of Red Light; Cesar Zapata of The Federal; Giorgio Rapicavoli of Eating House and the soon-to-be announced Chef at SUSHISAMBA. In addition to a stellar roster of local celebrity chefs and amazing food, guests will enjoy wines and champagnes from the world’s finest vineyards and distilleries, courtesy of Southern Wine and Spirits. This year’s event also promises exciting entertainment as well as live and silent auctions items including dining packages, fine wines and champagnes, travel and hotel stays in exotic locations, fine art pieces, and other specialty items, with all proceeds benefiting the March of Dimes. In addition to Presenting Sponsor Goya Foods, sponsors of note include Perry Ellis International, Future Energy Solutions, Turner Construction, Sunshine Gasoline Distributors and Stonegate Bank. Tickets for the event are $250 per person, which includes admission to a special “Meet the Chefs” Reception at 6:30 p.m. All proceeds from the event benefit the March of Dimes.
